How Rotomoulding Works

The process is generally used for manufacturing large small hollow articles .Most of the products is made for LLDPE /HDPE. Polyethylene in powder form is poured into a sheet metal mould "arm" powder by motors that slowly rotate or spin it biaxially in an oven at 250-300 c, with the charge of powder inside the mould. After the entire quantity of powder is consumed and fully melt-sintered, the mould is allowed to cool. This causes the polymer to solidify and shrink, thereby de-attaching itself the polymer to solidify and shrink, thereby de-attaching itself from the mould walls. The molded article can then be easily removed by opening the mould .And the piece is ready to sell.
