Rotomoulding

How Rotomoulding Works

The process is generally used for manufacturing large small hollow articles .Most of the products is made for LLDPE /HDPE. Polyethylene in powder form is poured into a sheet metal mould "arm" powder by motors that slowly rotate or spin it biaxially in an oven at 250-300 c, with the charge of powder inside the mould. After the entire quantity of powder is consumed and fully melt-sintered, the mould is allowed to cool. This causes the polymer to solidify and shrink, thereby de-attaching itself the polymer to solidify and shrink, thereby de-attaching itself from the mould walls. The molded article can then be easily removed by opening the mould .And the piece is ready to sell.

Benefit Of Rotomolding

Hollow seam Less parts - totally enclosed or with openings.

Uniform wall thickness - strong corners.

Excellent load bearing properties - virtually stress free parts.

Design flexibility - from small & intricate to large & complex.

The ability to produce multi wall moldings.

Economical tooling cost - 50 to 80 ° less mold cost compared to other moldings.

Economical for short production runs & prototypes as well as volume production.

Short lead - time, less time for launching the product in the market.

Products designed & molded to suit customers specific requirements.

Conversion of metal, fiber glass, wooden parts - to integrated plastic Parts.

Conversion of multiple parts and components-into single rotomolded unit.
